Harriet could accomplish anything she decided to do. She helped her father run the Bacon dairy doing everything from the milking to the delivering. She made all her own soaps, canned everything in sight, did hand quilting and gave them to everyone she met. She crocheted bedspreads, tablecloths, decorations, all types of gift items, afghans, big and small and gave them away too. Was a super fisherwoman and always outdid the men. She died August 1, 2004 at Messenger House Care Center, Bainbridge Island, WA.
