1921 ~ 2004

Homer M. Denison, 82, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2004. "Grandpa" died at home, asleep in his bed just the way he wanted it. Each of us were blessed to see him recently and express our love for him. He will be dearly remembered, and sorely missed.

Born in Sterling, UT on October 12, 1921 to Lila Swensen and Myrland Denison. His childhood was spent in Sterling, UT along with two brothers and three sisters. He married the love of his life, Eva Lund on October 22, 1941 in the Manti Temple. They moved to Salt Lake and began their 62-year journey. Together they raised two daughters. Their "Grandkids" were the light of his life.

Attended USU and Snow College, preparing for his career as a heavy equipment mechanic. Retired from Foulger Equipment Company after 35 years of dedicated service where he found many of his life-long friends. Grandpa was a hard worker, always ready to lend a hand. He was a skilled mechanic and an innovative craftsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, spending time with his family and was still water skiing in his 50's.

Homer is survived by his wife Eva; daughters, Kathleen Karsch and Gayle (Michael) Cherrington; sisters, Betty Lou (Dell) Lewis and Fay Christiansen; four grandchildren, Jeff Karsch, Byron Karsch, Aimee (Michael) Henderson and Michelle (Kevin) Moore; eight great-grandchildren. He loved us all simply because we were his family. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Gail and Dick, sister, Donna.
