While I have read good things about M. Night Shyamalan's new movie, "The Village," a majority of the reviews and comments I've been hearing are negative. Most people these days can't enjoy a movie if there are no special effects, no profanity and no "face actors."
People aren't willing to give different genres a chance. "The Village" is a great, wholesome movie, and decent media are becoming rarer and rarer. I did not hear a single swear word. If people went to this movie hoping for blood, gore, profanity, violence, sex and explosions, they most likely came out whining.
In a world plagued by hate, violence, murder and disease, we need good wholesome movies to remind us that everything isn't all bad. People just don't take the time to find them.
