There is an unknown, well-funded group called "Save Sandy" sending out expensive fliers to all Sandy residents warning of the evils of turning the gravel pit at 9400 South and 1300 East into a park. Their Web site fails to identify themselves and wildly inflates the cost of the park, arguing that allowing developers to pave over the property is by far in the better interests of all Sandy residents.

Their figure of $104 million for the park is laughable. I urge all Sandy residents to treat all information from this source with the deepest skepticism.
