• M. LaRue Sneff, 87, a member of the Young Women general board from 1960-1961, died Aug. 31, 2004, in Salt Lake City. Sister Sneff was also a former secretary to President N. Eldon Tanner, and for Elder Joseph Anderson and Elder Stephen L. Richards.

Sarah Melissa Broadbent Paulsen Sorensen

, 83, first counselor in the Primary general presidency from 1974-1977, died Sept. 1, 2004, in Salt Lake City. Sister Sorensen was also a former member of the Primary general board, and served with her husband, Finn Bergstedt Paulsen, when he presided over the Brazil South Mission from 1961-1964. When her husband became the first president of the Sao Paulo Brazil Temple in 1978, she served as matron. He died during this time. She later married Elder Lynn A. Sorensen, a former member of the Seventy. From 2000-2003, she served as matron while he was president of the Porto Alegre Brazil Temple.
