What a grand lady!
Our dear sweet mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at her home on September 19, 2004.
She was born February 12, 1920, in Alton, Utah, the daughter of Arthur and Martha Anne Wilson Glover.
Selva married Milton LeFevre Boyter on February 27, 1941 in Panguitch, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden temple.
Selva grew up in Alton where she gained an appreciation for hard work and "drowning worms". After her marriage she stood beside her husband who served as a marine. She worked as a supervisor for IRS and in her later years she worked at Windows of Time. She enjoyed cooking for her family and having family parties. She had many dear friends and loved to play cards with her "cronies." She loved to read and play Scrabble.
She had great influence on those she came in contact with, especially her grandchildren.
Many hours of enjoyment were spent with her family. She served in several church callings, her favorite being Relief Society president.
She has one son, Kurtis (MarJean) Boyter, and two daughters Ardella (Don) Arents and Vicki (Wayne) Garner who love her dearly and strive to pattern their lives after her.
She has eight "spoiled" grandchildren, Michelle (Derek) Brookmire, Mark (Melanie) Arents, Shane (Chris) Garner, Trent (Carin) Garner, Dusty Garner, Desiree (Chad) Hansen, Danny Garner, and Brady Boyter and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Boyd Glover, Jerry Glover and one sister, Ardel Pugh. She was preceded in death by her loving companion, Milton, two brothers, Varl Glover and Jim Glover.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 24, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the MonteVista LDS Ward, 3845 S. 2000 W., Roy. Friends and family may call Friday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Graveside services will be held at Kanab City Cemetery, Sept. 25, 2004 at 1 p.m., where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
