The 10th annual Buddy Walk, organized by Utah Down Syndrome Foundation-Utah County chapter and the National Down Syndrome Society, is set for Saturday morning.

The Orem Buddy Walk will begin at 10 a.m., with registration at 9:30 a.m., at 331 N. 400 West. Gather on the south side of the Orem Community Hospital. There will be a $10 registration fee. The walk takes place on the track surrounding the hospital campus. All funds raised through the walk will go to support Utah County families who have children with Down Syndrome by providing education and advocacy programs.

Down syndrome is a chromosomal abnormality that affects more than 350,000 people in the United States. People with Down syndrome have a wide range of abilities and are active participants in the education, occupational, social and recreational activities of the community.
