A Salt Lake City man is dead after a traffic accident Friday in rural Tooele County.
Killed was:
Jonathan Skoubye, 25, Salt Lake City.
The vehicle, registered to the state Department of Natural Resources, rolled approximately four times, ejecting both Skoubye and the driver, according to a Tooele County Sheriff's Office report. Neither man was wearing a seat belt.
The car was travelling at a "very high rate of speed" on the Pony Express Trail, approximately 10 miles west of Simpson Springs, when it hit some ruts in the road, the report said. After sliding about 200 feet, the vehicle left the road and started to roll.
