WEST JORDAN — A 39-year-old woman suffered head injuries after she was struck by a car Wednesday night.

About 8:13 p.m., the woman was crossing a street near 1300 West and 7100 South with her 8-year-old daughter. They reached the sidewalk, but the daughter dropped a gallon of milk and the mother ran back into the street to get it when she was hit by a car, West Jordan Police Sgt. Aaron Jensen said.

The mother was not in an intersection and did not have the right-of-way, Jensen said.
