Utah artists are invited to go "wild" and bring out their best for Hogle Zoo's 12th annual "World of the Wild" art show.
The art show is scheduled for Feb. 12 through April 3.
Artists interested in displaying their "wilder" side should submit artwork in person at Hogle Zoo, Saturday, Jan. 29, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the EdZooCation Station. Slides may be submitted, if postmarked by Wednesday, Jan. 26.
The zoo's art show is a juried competition open to all living Utah artists and is intended to encourage diverse artistic interpretation of the natural world. Art may be submitted in the following categories: painting (any medium), photography, drawing, pastels, printmaking, textiles and all three-dimensional media. Art must have been completed within the past three years.
The entry fee is $20 (non-refundable) for up to three pieces. To print entry forms, or for additional information, go online to www.hoglezoo.org/special.events.
