China Airline's float, titled "Celebrating Our Native Family — Taiwan," makes its way down Colorado Boulevard during the 116th annual Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif., Saturday. The float, depicting an ancient Taiwanese family celebration, was named the most beautiful entry from outside the continental United States. Under sunny skies, hundreds of thousands of revelers lined the streets to watch the parade, which also featured a 45-foot-tall replica of Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle. A 207-foot, firework-spouting train float, called "Families Across America," drew loud cheers and won the award for exceptional showmanship and dramatic impact for a float more than 55 feet long. It was the longest float in parade history.
