Offense

The Utes racked up 467 yards and 25 first downs in the lopsided victory. Quarterback Alex Smith and wide receiver Paris Warren are named co-offensive players of the game. Smith threw four touchdown passes, while Warren made a Fiesta Bowl-record 15 catches.

Defense

Utah finished with a Fiesta Bowl-record nine sacks — Tommy Hackenbruck had a team-high three. Nose guard Steve Fifita was named defensive player of the game. The Utes stopped Pittsburgh on third down 10 times while limiting the Panthers to 268 yards of total offense.

Special teams

Martail Burnett blocked a Pitt field-goal attempt to give the Utes seven deflections for the season. Kicker David Carroll made all five of his extra-point attempts as the Utes were near flawless on special teams. Kick coverage stopped the Panthers in their tracks.

Overall

The Utes closed out the Urban Meyer era on a high note with solid contributions on offense, defense and special teams. Utah's preparation and skill level simply overpowered Pittsburgh. The BCS busters completed a dream season with a perfect 12-0 mark.
