An environmental assessment that evaluates the impacts current research activities may have on the threatened Utah prairie dog is available for public review.
The Bryce Canyon National Park's Utah Prairie Dog Research Activities Plan focuses on the effect current research has on the threatened species and provides information that the park hopes will protect and conserve the prairie dog population.
The plan is available for public comment during the next 30 days under the management documents link at www.nps.gov/brca or by calling 435-834-4901. The document is also available at public libraries in Panguitch, Salt Lake City, Tropic Town Hall, and in the libraries at Southern Utah University, Brigham Young University, University of Utah and Utah State University.
