Lorna Jean Hutchinson 5/5/1940 ~ 1/22/2005 Lorna Jean Hutchinson, age 64, passed away January 22, 2005 in Salt Lake City Utah. She was born May 5, 1940 in Evanston, Wyoming to Adrian Grant Spencer and Lila Mae Cook. She attended Evanston High School and LDS Business College, where she earned an associate Executive Secretary degree and was the valedictorian of her class. She married Ernest Alpha Hutchinson on May 1, 1964 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lorna had many hobbies and talents. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She did beautiful handwork, including knitting, crocheting, tatting and intricate paper cuttings. Lorna was an accomplished musician and had a special love and appreciation for music. She was a wonderful pianist and shared this talent by playing for church services, vocal groups and the Senior Citizen's Center. Lorna was a wonderful mom and grandma. She had many good friends and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Ernest, a son Martin (Shelly), a daughter Sherri (David) Johnson; four grandchildren, Zachary and Emily Johnson, Heidi and Aaron Hutchinson; sister Marilyn (Sidney) Harris; brothers Paul (Doris) and Lee (Linda) Spencer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 27th at the Edgehill 2nd Ward, 1700 East 1889 South, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT.
