Auditions

Auditions are scheduled for several upcoming regional stage productions.

"POWER IN HIS TOUCH," a new, nondenominational musical on Saturday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Day Murray Music, 4914 S. State.

The independently produced show, featuring David Osmond, is scheduled to be performed March 22-26 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, 138 W. Broadway (300 South).

There are roles for a female lead, six principal players, two child soloists and an ensemble. Total cast size is 30 adults and four children. Come prepared with 16 to 32 bars of two contrasting songs (Broadway, gospel or classical) and bring a current rsum. There will be cold readings from the script. An accompanist will be provided.

"HUNT MYSTERIES on Wednesday 7 p.m., and on Jan. 15, 10 a.m., at 7453 S. 2504 West, West Jordan, for its audience-participation mystery, "Through the Window Glass," to be performed at various venues from mid-May through the end of July.

There are roles for three men, 30s-60s, and three women, 20s-40s. Most parts require singing and some dancing experience (569-1482 or www.huntmysteries.com).

"A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM," Jan. 15, 9-11 a.m., at the Alpine Playhouse, 81 S. 100 West, Alpine. Singers should bring their own sheet music. Call to schedule an audition time (492-0499). Play dates are March 4-14.

"MACBETH" on Jan. 20, 7-9 p.m., at StageRight TheaterCompany, 5001 S. Highland Drive, directed by Beth Bruner (assisted by Delanie Tucker), and scheduled to play April 9-May 7.

Come prepared with a one-minute monologue or two-minute scene from a Shakespearean play. There will also be cold readings from the script. Adult males and those auditioning for the witches should dress for a movement piece, too. There are roles for at least nine men, five women, one teenager and three children (272-3445).
