There are many programs for students who struggle in school: after-school tutoring, remediation and make-up assignments. If you are involved in school systems, especially as the parent of a struggling student, you hear about these programs every time the school contacts you, especially right after report cards. At the same time, some students wear their "F's" on their sleeves.
Why are so few programs devoted to students on the honor roll? You really have to look, especially for a good one. We could benefit from more accessible, widespread classes, classes that count for college credit.
