Alfred Pedersen Beloved Husband and Father Alfred Pedersen, 81, passed away October 28, 2005 after a long illness. He was born June 14, 1924 in Hasvik, Norway to Lars Alfred and Magda Lund Pedersen. He served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II and again in Germany after the war, where he met and married Maria Anna Buechl in Oberammergau, Germany. Following the service he worked as an architect, in construction, and real estate. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Marianne Pedersen; sons, Lars F. Pedersen and Arthur S. Pedersen; two grandchildren; and five great-grand-children; four sisters, Liv (Keith) Webb, Maia Amos, Judy Jones, and Ruth Salmon. Preceded in death by a sister, Edna Voelzke; and a brother, Kenneth Pedersen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Salt Lake 8th Ward, 300 E. 500 So. Friends may call Tuesday 7-9 p.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, and Wednesday at the Ward 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
