Obituary: William Hyrum Greenhalgh

William Hyrum Greenhalgh 1913 ~ 2005 William Hyrum Greenhalgh passed through the portals of this life on October 29, 2005. He was born in Nephi, Utah, on March 12, 1913, the son of Joseph Hyrum and Adelade Pearl Belliston Greenhalgh. He married Elsie Peterson in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept. 2, 1936. He received his schooling at Nephi and Logan City Schools and at the Utah State Agricultural College (USU) in Logan. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1938. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held many church positions during his lifetime. He served as an Ordinance Worker in the Provo Temple for 22 years. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Peterson Greenhalgh, Springville, Utah; children: Utahna Titmus, Roy, Utah; Lois (Jack) Booth, West Valley, Utah; Carol (Russell) McKenzie, Bountiful, Utah; Arlene (Lloyd) Pehrson, Mapleton, Utah; Eldon (Patricia) Greenhalgh, Lindon, Utah; Cloyd (Beverly) Greenhalgh, Salt Lake City, Utah; Alice (Robert) Averett, Draper, Utah; 28 grandchildren; 39 great-grand-children; three brothers: James M. (Elaine) Greenhalgh, Orem, Utah; Stellman (Faye) Greenhalgh, Nephi, Utah; R. Clark (Marjorie) Greenhalgh, Nephi, Utah. Funeral services will be held at the Hobble Creek West Stake Center, 555 S. 600 E. (Averett Ave.), Springville on Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may call at the Stake Center prior to the services from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
