U. taking nominations for youth leader award

The University of Utah is looking for outstanding students who have been a positive cultural influence on their communities.

Each year the U. honors students, grades seven through 12, from across the state for their dedication to positive social action and building cultural bridges.

The nomination letter should reflect the student's accomplishments in social action, positive change and building bridges among cultures and communities.

Each Youth Leadership Award winner will be honored with a plaque and monetary award during the U.'s 2006 Martin Luther King Jr. Cultural Event on Jan. 16.

An online nomination form is available at The deadline is Dec. 2.
