Obituary: Kenneth L. Egbert

Kenneth L. Egbert 6/3/1930 ~ 11/4/2005 Kenneth L. Egbert, age 75, died Nov. 4, 2005 in Long Beach, CA. Born June 3, 1930 in SLC to Alma and Estelle Callicott Egbert. Married Sandra Lynne Parker, the father of five children, later divorced. Ken married Grace C. Murchison, July 4 1965 and they resided in Long Beach Ca. He was the stepfather of 2 sons. Kenneth graduated from Jordan High School. Served in the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier U.S.S 41-80, Midway. He served a LDS Stake Mission in Long Beach Ca. Survivors include his beloved wife, Grace; his 4 children - sons, John M. (Cheryl) Egbert-Parker, Mark E. (Mary) Egbert, daughter Jeanette M. (Joseph) Egbert Lord; also Grace's sons - Stephen (Bev) Murchison, and Gary (Tina) Murchison. His legacy includes 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, brother Dennis R. (Myrna) Egbert and sister-in-law Viola Egbert and numerous extended members. His parents, one child, and nine siblings preceded Ken in death. Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy, (10600 So.) where family and friends may call Friday 6 - 8 pm and Saturday 9 - 10:45 am. Interment Wight Fort Cemetery. See at www.jenkins-soffe.com
