Obituary: Margaret Anne Ward Peck

Margaret Anne Ward Peck (Maggie) 1928 ~ 2005 Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, 77, died of heart failure on Nov. 4, 2005. She was born to Patrick John and Mary Anne Ward on March 28, 1928 in St. Joseph, Missouri. She graduated from Judge Memorial High School in 1946. Her favorite job was working as a secretary in the office of Judge Memorial where she loved to interact with the students. She worked for many years for the VA where she gave special attention to the veterans who came in for services. She was an active member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed her connections there. Maggie was married to Lee Peck from 1950-1974. In retirement she resided at the City Center Plaza in Salt Lake City. Her parents, her sister Mary Pat and brother Bill preceded Maggie in death. She is survived by her children, Janice Peck, Denver; Susan Kingsbury, Seattle; Jeff Peck, Salt Lake City; Greg Peck, Seattle; Marci Benson, Stockton, CA; grandchildren, Morgan, Lee, James, Jessica, Shawn and Michelle; and her great-grandchildren Kaya, Kyle and Rayne. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 670 S. 1100 E., Salt Lake City. Friends may call from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 E. 100 S., Salt Lake City. The committal will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 4th Ave. and 'T' Street.
