Obituary: Elsa G. Allison

Elsa G. Allison 1913 ~ 2005 Elsa Gutknecht Allison passed away on November 6, 2005 She was a resident of the Presbyterian Home of Maryland, Townson, MD. Beloved wife of the late Charles L. Allison, Jr., and Leif Ericksen; beloved mother of Sonia Bell and the late Elsa Jeanette Andrews; devoted grandmother of Diane Andrews, Bridget Mainley, Valerie Burns, Sean Jones and Eric Andrews; dear aunt of Eileen Price, June Luerssen, John Worden and the late, Carroll Gutknecht; great-grandmother to seven; with several cousins. Born in Belchatow, Poland in 1913, Mrs. Allison immigrated to this country a the age of 12, eventually becoming a naturalized citizen. She resided in Baltimore, MD. In 1959, she relocated to Salt Lake City, where she devoted over 22 years to her profession, raising, breeding, caring and training several breeds of dogs. Mrs. Allison was one of the original founders of the Great Salt Lake Dog Training Club in 1963, which is still in existence today. Friends may call Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. at the Presbyterian Home of Maryland, 400 Georgia Court, Towson, MD, at which time memorial services will be held in the chapel. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Health Care Center Fund of Presbyterian Home of Maryland, Inc., 400 Georgia Court, Towson, MD 21204.
