Alta "Lin" Sinton 1922 ~ 2005 Alta "Lin" Sinton passed away calmly in her sleep in Salt Lake City on Monday, Nov. 7, 2005 at 12:55 a.m. with a family member by her side. Born Alta Lillian Bull in Waco, Texas, Feb. 14, 1922. Graduated Baylor University and later sang in the Southern California Tabernacle Choir. She served in many church callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was married Dec. 17, 1960 to Bernard M. Sinton at Rancho La Puerta (health ranch), in Tecate, Mexico. They spent a year in Europe on a sabbatical and over the next 25 years they traveled to many other parts of the world. She taught school in San Francisco, Calif. till 1985. After Bernie's death in 1985 she married Davood Darabian in 1996. We all knew her as a very giving person who shared her love, time, talents and finances. Lin had many, many good friends and is survived by her nephews and nieces, James A. Kerr, Maureen and Doyle Baker, S. Lynn Kerr, C. Glean and Stephanie Kerr, 14 great nephews and nieces and nine great-great nephews and nieces. She will be buried next to Bernie in San Mateo, Calif. Funeral Directors, Garner Funeral Home.
