While I admire Naomi Judd for her inspirational messages to women, I would like to clarify one issue: Naomi Judd was, in fact, diagnosed with Hepatitis C (HCV) — like more than 3 million other people in this country. If her doctor told her she "was dying," he was seriously mistaken. Naomi Judd had the most easily cured HCV strain you can get. It required six months of Interferon. I admire anyone who undergoes chemotherapy and keeps a positive outlook, but the facts are Naomi is cured. Not in remission, but cured.
Kudos to Naomi for her positive outlook on life and overcoming her struggles, but at no time was she in danger of dying from HCV.
