David McAlister Beutler 1950 ~ 2005 David McAlister Beutler passed away November 7, 2005 at the age of 55 of cancer. David was born October 12, 1950 in Provo, Utah to Alvin and Clarissa McAlister Beutler. He married Marene Siler in the Ogden Temple August 1, 1974. After completing a LDS Mission in Great Britain, he attended Weber State University where he graduated with a BS degree in Chemistry and Microbiology. He was employed 30 years by Thatcher Chemical Company. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many Church callings, currently serving as Secretary of the High Priest Group. He loved the outdoors where he spent many wonderful hours with his family. He loved hiking, fishing, and all the beauties of nature. He also enjoyed playing sports, working with wood, and fixing everything. He is survived by his wife, Marene; three sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew (Kathleen), Brian (Gretta), Chad; and two granddaughters, Clarissa and Eliza. He is also survived by his parents, mother and father-in-law: Genevie and Lawrence Siler, and siblings: Ruth Ann (John) Robson, Bonnie (Shaun) Story, and Park (Krista) Beutler and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Mark. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 12, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. in the Jordan 6th Ward Chapel (3650 W. 4400 S.) Friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., and from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Saturday at the church prior to services.
