Leo Espinosa 1919 ~ 2005 Leo Espinosa passed away Nov. 7, 2005 following a prolonged lung illness. He was born on Nov. 3, 1917. He was the son of Leo Sr. and Rosa Leos Espinosa. Leo married Vera Monsen in June 1941 and their marriage was later solemnized on Dec. 6, 1974 in the Salt Lake Temple. He attended school in Carbon County, Utah where he was later employed in the area coal mines for 25 years. He and his family moved to Salt Lake City where he retired after 22 years of employment with Kennecott Copper Co. Leo was well known to family and friends as a hard working man. He loved fishing and hunting in the Utah mountains and streams. Leo's family is very proud of the fact that he spent three and 1/2 years over seas in the 9th Air Force European Theater during World War II having landed on Omaha beach and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. Leo and Vera Are the parents of five children two of whom preceded him in death: Robert Dean and Randall Kirk and the remaining children are: Leo Kenneth (Becky), Delana (Fred Al Cleveland) and Scott. He had 12 brothers and sisters, five of whom are still living: Isabell, Rosalie, Louie, Manual and Mary. He also has 11 grandchildren, 37 great-grand-children and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov 11, 2005 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary where friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment to follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. "Good night Sweet Prince. May flights of angels guard thee to thy rest."
