Edna Johnson "Nanny" Our beloved mother, grandmother, and nanny, Edna Elizabeth Wallis Johnson, returned to the arms of her loving Heavenly Father on November 6, 2005. Edna was born on August 29, 1914, daughter of Tom and Florence White Wallis. She married George Johnson in the Salt Lake Temple in June of 1935. Edna worked for Mountain Fuel for 18 years. She enjoyed her work and made many lasting friendships with her co-workers. She enjoyed her retirement years traveling, painting beautiful pictures of roses, and entertaining family and friends while spending time at her cabin in Brighton. She spent hours creating many beautiful scrapbooks of her travels and family to share with others. Her grandchildren and great-grand-children filled her life with a spirit that kept her young at heart. She found pleasure in the laughter and smiles of her great-grandchildren. We will miss you, but your caring spirit will live in our hearts forever. Preceded in death by husband George LeRoy Johnson, son George LeRoy Johnson Jr., mother and father, sisters Dorothy, Florence and Vivian, and brother Alvin. Survived by her son Ralph Wallis Johnson (LaFaye), grandchildren, Jill Heaps (Kendall), Brenda Peterson (Joel), Janalee Peterson (Eric), Clark Johnson (Julie), Jennifer Preston (Mario), Sophia Mercino (John), 17 great-grandchildren.
