Dale K. Barker Sr. Gone fishin' & huntin' Dale K. Barker Sr., born Dec. 31, 1922 to Alma Moroni and Zelma Rachael (Everette) Barker, continued his journey to Heaven on Nov. 7, 2005. He founded and owned Big "B" Plumbing & Heating for 53 years. Dale served in the US Navy during World War II, served in the Salt Lake and Manti Temples for 28 years, volunteered services at senior centers and other organizations, was a life-time member of VFW Post 9276, American Legion Post 71, and survived the tornado of 1999. Dale married his loving soul mate of 58 years, Lenna Jean Edmunds, who will miss him dearly, on July 31, 1947 and later Solemnized in the Manti Temple on September 5, 1947. Survived by brother; Jay (Lorraine), sisters; Shirley and Alma, eight children; Carol Jean (Francis) Whitehead, Dale Ken Jr. (Sarah) Barker, (Keith) Harrop, Linda Diane (Mike) Dixon, Judy Kae Allen-Perfili (Mike) Perfili, David K. (Ann) Barker, Kathy Lucille (Brian) Fitzpatrick, Dwayne Kyrte (Cheri) Barker, very proud grandpa of 22, and great-grandpa of nine (two on the way). Preceded to Heaven by daughter, JoAnn Harrop, parents, two brothers, two sisters, and three babies he will finally hug. The family would like to thank Dr. G. Cole, Dr. C. Nunn, Dr. Badger, Dr. Juan, Dr. Day, and all care-givers at Sanpete and Utah Valley Hospitals. A viewing will be held Friday November 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary 96 N. 100 W. Mt Pleasant, and prior to services on Saturday Nov. 12, 2005 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Spring City LDS Chapel with services to follow at 12 noon. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon afterward at the Spring City LDS 2nd Ward. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to any of the heart and cancer institutes in Dale's name.
