One stabbed, 3 arrested in fight among females

TAYLORSVILLE — One woman was stabbed after she reportedly beat another woman with a baseball bat Thursday, police said.

At about 4 p.m. at an apartment complex near 4700 South and Redwood Road, four females got involved in a verbal fight that turned physical, said Taylorsville Police Chief Larry Marx. One woman started hitting another with a bat and in retaliation, a second woman pulled out a small folding knife and stabbed her assailant.

The woman sustained minor injuries from the stabbing.

Marx said three people were taken into custody, one adult and two juveniles, but another woman drove away before police could arrest her.
