Brigham Young University and the University of Utah are combining efforts in an annual food and money drive for the Utah Food Bank and the United Way of Utah County.
The food drive began Nov. 5 and will end during the Utah-BYU football game on Nov. 19. Last year, the two universities raised $22,000 and collected 43,752 pounds of food.
"The annual BYU/University of Utah food drive helps families right here in Utah County," said Bill Hulterstrom, president and CEO of United Way of Utah County. "The food bank, run by Community Action, provides tens of thousands of meals to families here in our community."
Food collection bins will be located on both campuses.
