PLANTATION, Fla. — When Hurricane Wilma blew through southern Florida on Oct. 25, it was the worst of its kind to hit Plantation during the past 55 years.
The damage was extensive, but the aftermath was also a hardship as power was out for more than a week.
As a result, members of the Plantation Ward, Ft. Lauderdale Florida Stake, held an unusual outdoor sacrament meeting Oct. 30, under the direction of Bishop Neal Mortensen.

Chairs were set up in the parking lot and members attended an open-air meeting. Although the morning was overcast, no rain fell during the service.
