Mary Christensen 1914 ~ 2005 Mary Ramona Christensen Christensen, 91, died Nov. 8, 2005. Mary was born January 26, 1914 in Moroni, UT. She was the youngest of six children born to James Andreas Christensen and Maren Hansine Petersen Christensen. Mary was married to Charles Waldemar Christensen Jan. 28, 1935 in Chester, UT. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti LDS Temple June 21, 1954. Mary loved and was devoted to her children and grandchildren, and greatly enjoyed having her family around her. She worked with her husband in the family turkey business and was passionate about raising a wonderful vegetable garden and beautiful flowers that were the envy of the neighborhood. Mary served in many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a special love for the Junior Sunday School and served in four different Relief Society presidencies. She is survived by her children, Charles Morris (Pat) Christensen, Logandale, NV, Georgia C. Lauritzen, Logan, UT, Glenna C. Rea, Santa Fe, NM, James M. (Leslee) Christensen, Moroni, UT, and Vern L. (Ra Nae) Christensen, Raleigh, NC; and one sister, Elsa Hatch of American Fork, UT. Mary was predeceased by her parents; husband; three brothers, Arthur Christensen (infant), Darwin Christensen, and Sylvan Christensen; and a sister, Ivy Anderson. The family is especially grateful for the care and love from Kaye and John Mitchell of Levan, UT during her final years. A funeral service will be held in her honor in the Moroni LDS Stake Center, Moroni, UT Monday, November 14, 2005 at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary in Mt. Pleasant and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Moroni LDS Stake Center.
