Kathleen Clair Vincent Powers Charleston, Utah Kathleen Clair Vincent Powers devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, and friend, peacefully returned to her Father in Heaven, in her home surrounded by those she loved most, November 11, 2005. Kathy was born February 13, 1952 in Huntington Park, California. She married Jack E. Powers April 23, 1971. Their marriage was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She battled many health challenges throughout her life and met each one with a positive attitude and trust in the Lord. Her continual faith never wavered as she dealt with each trial by constantly giving of herself. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a choice daughter of our Heavenly Father. She led an exemplary life to all who know her. She lived the principle of selfless love. Kathy's happiness came from sharing her many wonderful talents and radiated as she served. Motherhood was her greatest calling but it extended far beyond her own home. She was a natural teacher and looked forward to teaching her grandchildren. She had a softness in her heart for those with special needs and a unique ability to make everyone feel needed. Kathy is survived by her husband, Jack of Charleston, Utah; her children, Julie (Ryan) Howell, Amy, Carrie (Aaron) Mair, Emily (Wade) Choules, Daniel, John, Andrew; nine grandchildren; and sister, Lori (Dennis) Delmar. She is preceded in death by, her parents; Ronald and Beverly Vincent; and brother, Kyle. Kathy lived life to the fullest and touched so many lives. She will be greatly missed. Her family wishes to thank all the health care providers, family members, and friends throughout the community for the tremendous outpouring of love and service. Funeral services will take place Thursday, November 17, at 3 p.m., Charleston Ward, 3423 South 3500 West, Charleston. Friend may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. in the church's Relief Society room. and Thursday from 1:45-2:45 p.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Nephi City Cemetery.
