Virginia Hansen 1925 ~ 2005 Virginia Robbins Hansen, age 80, passed away November 12, 2005, surrounded by her family in Salt Lake City. She was born January 23, 1925 in Midvale, Utah to Ralph Robbins and Marie Howard Robbins. She attended Jordan High School. She married Fred W. Hansen, January 16, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. Virginia was married to the love of her life, Fred for 59 years. Virginia had a great love for nature and the out of doors, always ready to go out and enjoy God's creations. She had a special talent for gardening. She loved her flowers and she loved working to make her yard the beautiful place that it is. Virginia and Fred traveled throughout the world, living life to its fullest. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved her boys, her daughters-in-law, and each one of her grandchildren and great-grandchil-dren. Virginia was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary presidency and as a Den Mother more than 20 years, loving all of her boys. She loved music, and it was a great source of comfort in her life. She touched many lives and will be sorely missed. She is survived by her husband, Fred W. Hansen; children, Rob (Dena), Craig (Linda), Ron (Terri), Doug (Abi), Gordon (Ronda); sisters, Genevieve Simpson, Ruby Parker, Dorothy Harkness; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her son, Rob Hansen; brother, Edward; and her parents. Funeral services will be held November 16, 2005, 11 a.m. at the Ridgedale Ward, 3400 So. 1100 East. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 15, from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary 3401 So. Highland Dr. and Wednesday, November 16, from 9:45-10:45 a.m. before the service. Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
