Stephen James Thornley Sill 1978 ~ 2005 Stephen James Thornley Sill, age 27 passed away November 9, 2005 in Salt Lake City. He was born June 8, 1978 in Salt Lake to Anne Sill Maxfield and David Sterling Sill (dec. July 10, 1993). He graduated from Olympus High School and attended Salt Lake Community College. In 1996 he married Marissa Grimes and later divorced. Steve was a handsome, energetic, fun-loving and charismatic young man. Those who met him never forgot him. Once introduced you could count on being greeted there after with Steve's magical "Hey Guy" hello. He made friends easily and used this skill with people to advance his business career. Steve was a successful mortgage broker having worked for Strategic Funding and Colonial Mortgage. He also developed real estate in the South Mountain Development and recently worked to raise venture capital for start up companies. Ultimately, Steve viewed himself as a "Networker". Steve had a passion for cars. Upon turning the ripe old age of 14 Steve with his undaunted nature made a personal call to Rick Warner to make sure that the auto dealership would be ready to handle his auto needs and also make certain he would have the funds necessary to buy the Mustang he was dreaming of having when he turned 16. As a tenderhearted and loving man Steve cherished his relationships with his young son Isaac, his many friends and his family. He especially enjoyed Sunday dinners spent with his parents, brothers, sisters and his son. A man of many talents, he loved deeply and lived with a special passion and zest. Being freed from his earthly challenges, he will now be able to progress in the way to which he always aspired. He is loved by many and will be greatly missed. Our love will be with you until we meet again. Steve is survived by his son, Isaac; his parents, Anne Sill Maxfield and W. Brent Maxfield (step-father); his siblings, Lisa Sill (Jerrod) Bonacci, Jason (Jessica) Sill, Jonathan (Melody) Sill; best friend, Rosemary Sill; a loving extended family, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father, David Sterling Sill; and grandparents, Sterling W. and Doris Sill and Max and Ruth Ferguson. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, 12 noon at the Monument Park Ward, 1320 S. Wasatch Dr. (2425 E), Salt Lake City, UT. Friends and family may visit Monday, November 14 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, UT and from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be next to his grandparents and his father at the Kaysville, Utah Cemetery, 500 East Crestwood Rd., Kaysville, UT. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to The Humane Society of Utah, 4242 S. 300 W. Salt Lake City, UT 84107.
