Gordon J. Button 10/21/16 ~ 11/10/05 Born on Oct. 21, 1916 in Hurricane, Utah to Jeff and Cornelia Button. Married his wife Sereta of 65 years. Gordon was a mechanic and retired from Salt Lake City Corporation. He invented a hydraulic lift which he tried to patent. He worked for years as a heavy duty mechanic in Morocco. Grandpa was ambitious and also worked nights at Co-Op gas station for years. When young he played drums in an orchestra that played clubs around Salt Lake City. He also has a pilot's license and loves to go flying. He loved motorcycles, snowmobiles, boats and fast cars. Anything mechanical he loved to take apart and fix. He loved his motorcycle so much that he would ride it in to winter with his snowmobile suit on. Grandpa loved Glen Miller, Duke Ellington anything big band. Grandpa has a weakness for cats and small animals. He owned a cat named Kitty. In his later years he built remote control airplanes and loved going out to the airport field to fly and visit with his airplane buddies. We loved Grandpa very much. He is at peace now with his beloved wife again. He missed her so much. Survived by his daughter Peggy and sister Kate, four grandchildren; Leslee, Greg, Brad and Brandy; three great-grandchildren Asya, Michael and William. Preceded in death by his wife, son Michael Button, and Parents. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 14, at 12 p.m. at Mtn. View Memorial 3115 E. 7800 So. www.jenkins-soffe.com
