Obituary: Art Francis

Art Francis 1918 ~ 2005 Charles Arthur Francis, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Friday November 11, 2005 at his home in Centerville, Utah. He was born November 27, 1918 in Morgan, Utah the son of Samuel Arthur and Leah Mae Turner Francis. He married Ruth M. West in March 1941; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple; later divorced. He married Carol Hollist September 30, 1978; later solemnized in the Ogden Temple. Art graduated from Morgan High and attended the University of Utah. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Wars. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Centerville 7th Ward. He served with his wife, Carol, in the Perth and Adelaide Australia Missions from 1984-1986. He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, A. Lynn (Suzanne) Francis; daughters, Judy (Robert) Scott, Kathy (Dean) Hales, Teri K. Miller, Vanalee (Rick) Carruth, Susan Larson; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchil-dren; brother, Robert (Lois) Francis; and sister, Anna Lou (Don) Ernston. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul and Stuart "Bud" Francis. A special thanks to all personnel of Vista Hospice. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday November 15, 2005 at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may call Monday Nov. 14th from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
