Obituary: Chad "O" Oliver Ruesch

Chad "O" Oliver Ruesch 1967 ~ 2005 Chad "O" Oliver Ruesch, age 38, a valiant and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, joined his Father in Heaven Veteran's Day, November 11, 2005. Chad was born October 17, 1967 in Las Vegas, Nevada and was a much loved, adored, and appreciated addition to the Ruesch Family. At age 18, Chad had a heart transplant. Considered "experimental surgery" back then, Chad spent his life proving everyone wrong. There was no "experiment" involved. He lived a long and full life enjoying many interests and giving love and inspiration to all who knew him. He is survived by a family who loves him dearly and who will honor Chad through continuing life with all of the wonderful memories he has created for them. He is survived by his parents, Keith L. Ruesch and Carol Davies Ruesch, who just celebrated their 50th anniversary; his brothers, Keith (Julie) Ruesch and Troy (Nicole) Ruesch; and his sisters, Brenda Stoney, Wendy (Scott) Simpson; and his nieces and nephews. Chad had a special place in his heart for children. He was the best uncle ever. He had a passion for making beef jerky, cooking, and for making people laugh. Despite his enormous and constant physical challenges, he faced life with courage, love and hope, and inspired others to do the same. A viewing will be held Monday, November 14th at the Russon Brothers Funeral Home in Bountiful, Utah from 12:30-1:30 p.m. The burial will take place at the Bountiful Cemetery at 2 p.m. A memorial service will be held in Chad's Honor Saturday, November 19th, 10 a.m. at the LDS Viking and Sandhill chapel, in Las Vegas, NV. With great love and appreciation, we give a special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the LDS 7th floor Transplant Team and all others who helped make a difference in his life.
