BOTTOM LINE: Go figure. After back-to-back wins over Oregon State and UCLA, the Wildcats (3-7) lose at home to Washington. They finish up Nov. 25 at ASU.

BOTTOM LINE: So much for paradise. The WAC-ky Aggies (2-7) return from Hawaii for their home finale against Nevada on Saturday. Get your tickets now.

Sept. 15

TCU 51, UNLV 3

BOTTOM LINE: Ribbit. The outright MWC champions completed league play undefeated. TCU (10-1 overall, 8-0 in conference) now awaits a bowl invitation.

Sept. 22

Utah 38, Air Force 35

Last week:

Air Force bye

BOTTOM LINE: Good news for Falcons fans. They didn't lose last week thanks to a bye. Air Force (3-7) closes out the season Saturday at New Mexico.

Oct. 1

North Carolina 31, Utah 17

Last week:

Maryland 33, North Carolina 30

BOTTOM LINE: Carolina (4-5) is a little more blue after overtime loss to Maryland. The Tar Heels need to defeat Duke and Virginia Tech to earn a bowl bid.

BOTTOM LINE: What ever happened to being Ram tough? CSU fell to 5-5 overall with another lackluster effort. The Rams can become bowl eligible at UNLV.

BOTTOM LINE: The Aztecs (4-6) may have saved head coach Tom Craft's job with a victory in Fort Collins. SDSU returns home to entertain Wyoming Saturday.

TCU 51, UNLV 3

BOTTOM LINE: How low can the Rebels (2-8) go? Almost to the point where the only place they can go is up. That's the good news for coach Mike Sanford.

Nov. 5

Utah 43, Wyoming 13

BOTTOM LINE: The Cowboys (4-6) will be sitting home this bowl season after suffering their fifth straight setback. They'll finish the season Saturday at SDSU.

Nov. 12

New Mexico 31, Utah 27

BOTTOM LINE: Turnovers and injuries doomed the Utes as the Lobos (6-4) won the battle to become bowl eligible. New Mexico hosts Air Force on Saturday.

Nov. 19
