A woman who hired two men to clean the leaves out of her gutters lost more than her leaves last week, and one of the men is being charged with stealing from her.

While the woman was paying one of the men, she noticed the other man, 35, coming out of her bedroom, court documents state. She had not invited the man inside, and she later found several rolls of coins and a ring valued at almost $2,000 were missing.

The man told his partner the woman had given him the items in exchange for pay. His partner later returned the coins to the woman.
