Don't ignore school plays

Last night, my husband and I attended the opening night of "Footloose" at Brighton High School. The production was fabulous! Everyone left the show with good feelings. Nobody lost. Everybody won.

But I never hear about these activities on the 10 o'clock news, in the Deseret Morning News or in other news media. Why? If it isn't sports, more sports, murder, mayhem, stabbings, shootings or car bashing, it doesn't seem to merit attention.

How about some coverage of the good, hard-working, talented teens who are making a positive contribution to the community?
