CLEVELAND — LeBron James scored a season-high 37 points, Larry Hughes added 22 in his first game against his former team and the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Washington Wizards 114-99 Tuesday night.

James, who helped recruit Hughes as a free agent during the offseason, scored only two points in the first quarter but followed with 14 in the second, 14 in the third and seven in the fourth before leaving with 2:32 left.

The Cavaliers won their fifth straight, and are 4-0 at home, winning by an average of 21 points at Quicken Loans Arena.

76ERS 104, RAPTORS 92: At Philadelphia, Allen Iverson scored 34 points and added 12 assists, Chris Webber had 28 points and 16 rebounds and Philadelphia won its fifth straight game, beating winless Toronto.

Since losing their first three games, the streaking Sixers have been perfect. They won all four games on their longest homestand of the year and get the downtrodden Raptors again Wednesday night in Toronto.

MAGIC 85, BOBCATS 77: At Orlando, Fla., Dwight Howard had 21 points and 20 rebounds to help Orlando hand Charlotte its fifth straight loss.

Howard and Emeka Okafor of the Bobcats were the top two picks in the 2004 draft, and the Magic's No. 1 choice looked like the better selection on this night.

Okafor got into early foul trouble and had just eight points — all in the fourth quarter — and six rebounds. He entered the game averaging 13 points and nine rebounds.

Keith Bogans led Charlotte with a season-high 18 points off the bench, while Sean May added 15 points and 10 rebounds. No Bobcats starter scored in double figures.

PISTONS 115, CELTICS 100: At Auburn Hills, Mich., Chauncey Billups scored 17 of his 25 points in the third quarter and Detroit improved to 7-0 with a comeback victory over Boston.

The Pistons overcame a 13-point deficit in the second half to record the third-best start in team history, trailing 1970-71 (9-0) and the championship team of 1988-89 (8-0).

HEAT 109, HORNETS 102 (OT): At Miami, Dwyane Wade scored Miami's final eight points in the fourth quarter, and James Posey and Gary Payton each hit a key 3-pointer in overtime to help the Heat rally past New Orleans.

Wade finished with 25 points and 10 assists, but it was his play down the stretch during regulation that gave the Heat a chance to win their third straight game without center Shaquille O'Neal.

NETS 109, SUPERSONICS 99: At East Rutherford, N.J., Nenad Krstic scored a season-high 25 points and New Jersey held Ray Allen without a field goal for three quarters in a victory over Seattle.

Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson added 19 points apiece for New Jersey, which snapped a two-game skid.

ROCKETS 94, TIMBERWOLVES 89: At Minneapolis, Tracy McGrady scored 25 points and made three consecutive clutch plays down the stretch to lead Houston past Minnesota.

McGrady, who went 13-for-13 at the free-throw line, grabbed eight rebounds and had 13 points in the fourth quarter.

Spurs 103, Hawks 79: At San Antonio, Tim Duncan had 23 points and seven rebounds to lead San Antonio over winless Atlanta.

Al Harrington led the Hawks with 23 points and nine rebounds. He scored Atlanta's first 14 points and shot 10-for-15 in the first quarter to help the Hawks build a 31-18 lead.

MAVERICKS 83, NUGGETS 80: At Dallas, Dirk Nowitzki scored 11 of his season-high 35 points in the fourth quarter and DeSagana Diop blocked a layup attempt by Carmelo Anthony with 2.9 seconds left, helping Dallas overcome a 19-point deficit to beat Denver.

Diop set career highs with 16 rebounds and six blocks and Marquise Daniels had a season-high 17 points, providing the energy boost the Mavericks needed to open a four-game homestand with a victory.
