Nellie Gee Ockey She's "Peachie Rosie" Our sweet mom, grandmother and friend, Nellie Gee Ockey, passed away November 12, 2005 at the age of 93. Nellie was born in Moroni, Utah on November 18th, 1911 the fourth of 10 children of Urvin and Martena Jensen Gee. She married Clarence J. Ockey in Moroni, Utah on December 9, 1931. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He passed away in 1986. She lived in Nephi, Utah for several years and moved to Provo, Utah in 1942. There she worked as a doctor's office nurse at Utah Valley Clinic for 30 years. Nellie was an active member of the LDS Church serving in the Primary, M.I.A., Sunday School and Relief Society. Nellie's experience in nursing served her well as she helped neighbors, friends and family. She was always a giving person and caretaker of others. She is survived by her daughter, LaRue (Oliver) Frenette, grandson Dallin Wall, granddaughter Wendy (David) Brown, three great-grand-children; step grandchildren, Carla (Rick) Park, Brian (Linda) Frenette, Colleen (Stan) Parkin, Karen (Ben) Williams and many step great and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Burton Gee and sisters Alice Wilson, Lois Van Orden and Elaine Frandsen. Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Thanks to all those at the Avalon Care Center who gave her such tender loving care. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2005 at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may call from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
