Obituary: Marian Ostler Behney

Marian Ostler Behney 1917 ~ 2005 Marian O. Behney, age 88, passed away on November 14, 2005 in Salt Lake City. She was born in Salt Lake City on May 4, 1917 to Frank and Ada Holmes Ostler. Attending South High School she graduated in 1933. On April 9, 1937 Marian married her high school sweetheart Myron B. Behney in Los Angeles, California and they were happily married for 68 years. Always a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Marian will be missed by all who loved her. Survived by her husband, Myron Behney, children: John Behney (Sue) of Lake Arrowhead, CA; and Marianne Cooley (Doug) of Sandy, UT; siblings: Bill Ostler (Pauline), Virginia Harris (Glenn) and O. Don Ostler (Barbara), four grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, and sister, Carol Savage (Don). Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 18 at 12:00 noon at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary at 3401 S. Highland Drive where friends may call from 6-8 Thursday evening and also one hour prior to the service. A special thanks to the hospice team of Community Nursing Services who did an excellent job of caring for her during her illness. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Nursing Services and Hospice.
