PROVO — It's Rivalry Week at the business schools, too. Business students from Brigham Young University and the University of Utah will square off Friday in a case competition.
Students are invited to the event at 2 p.m. in Room 251 of the N. Eldon Tanner Building at BYU. The case competition presents business students with an international strategy problem taken from a real-world example. The purpose is to better prepare students through a realistic exercise with a deadline.
In the final round, two teams of four students from BYU's Marriott School of Management and two teams of four students from the U.'s David Eccles School of Business will present their solutions.
A representative from Dillard's, a BYU professor and a U. professor will be the judges. Rewards include cash prizes and Dillard's gift certificates.
