Mark Russell: Afterthoughts

We have been training the Iraqi army for what? Two years now? And they are still not ready. And the enemy is guys with roadside devices. This isn't a war; it's Chicago in the 1920s.

Two years. Here, we can turn any goober or street dude into a fighting machine in three months tops. How? By sending them into combat after — and not during — their training.

Solution? Ship the Iraqis over here for training where it is relatively quieter than Fallujah. Three months and they're ready. War over. Will somebody tell the DOD? (Department of DUH).
