Westminster spikers stumble twice

Oregon Tech defeated Westminster College today in four games, 30-21, 30-22, 30-32 and 32-30.

Westminster coach Kim Norman said, "Experience is a brutal teacher. She gives the test first and the lesson second."

Michelle Klaja led the Owls with 15 kills. Westminster was led by Angie Johnson with 25 kills. Earlier, Northwest University defeated Westminster in five games, 30-22, 30-26, 20-30, 33-35 and 15-13.

In an another tournament game, Carroll College defeated Southern Oregon University, 30-27, 24-30, 30-28 and 30-25.

Westminster is hosting the NAIA Region I Championships through Saturday in Payne Gymnasium. Tickets are available at the door. Adults are $6, Westminster College students are $2, and children ages five and under are free. For more information, please call (801) 832-2244.
