Flu paints a scary picture

Should we be scared? I think every person should be scared to death. If this avian flu breaks out, it will kill somewhere from 2 million to 7.4 million people. Even though our government is trying its best to prepare, there is not much they can do. If they quarantine us, there are still birds out there to transfer the virus to humans again, and this flu does not give us time to even think about quarantining anybody. We have been trying to get vaccines ready for this breakout, but the numbers are staggering with estimates of 300 million vaccinations necessary to stop the outbreak.

What can we do individually to prepare? Not much. We can urge our government to develop better and faster ways to make the vaccines. Most of all, we need to prepare for all the deaths.
