Beverly Olsen is directing. All roles are open, with parts for boys, men and women. Families are welcome to audition together. Come prepared with 16 measures of an upbeat Broadway show tune. UTAH MUSICAL THEATRE, the Ogden-based summer-stock series, on Dec. 9-10 for the first set of local auditions.

An open call for non-Equity performers will be Dec. 9, with five-minute slots between 7 and 11 p.m. Call 801-626-7775, beginning Nov. 28, to reserve a time slot. Those without reserved slots will be admitted on a first come, first served basis.

Equity principal auditions will be noon-7 p.m. on Dec. 10. Both appointments and walk-ups will be taken, and nonunion players may be seen on an "as available" basis (801-626-7775).

Auditions will be held in Room 38 of the Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts on the Weber State University campus.

Come prepared with a contemporary, comic monologue, one to two minutes long, that demonstrates movement and physicality. Come prepared with 32 bars of two songs of contrasting tone in a style consistent with the season's productions (expect to perform 16 bars). An accompanist will be provided.

Dance callbacks will consist of advanced tap and jazz. UMT is also looking for those interested in acrobatics, tumbling and stunt maneuvers.

Additional auditions will be held in February in Salt Lake City and Cedar City.

The 2006 summer season will feature "Two by Two," "Dames at Sea" and "Songs for a New World."
