Sept. 2

Utah 27, Arizona 24

BOTTOM LINE: The Wildcats close out the season Saturday on the road at rival Arizona State. A loss will give Arizona a second consecutive 3-8 season.

Sept. 10

Utah 31, Utah State 7

Last week:

Nevada 30, Utah State 24

BOTTOM LINE: All aboard for the Aggie Bowl! Plenty of tickets remain for the season-ending battle between USU (2-8) and winless New Mexico State.

TCU 23, Utah 20

Last week:

TCU bye

BOTTOM LINE: The outright Mountain West Conference champions (10-1) are just waiting to find out where they'll go bowling. Houston is a safe bet.

Sept. 22

Utah 38, Air Force 35

Last week:

Air Force 42, New Mexico 24

BOTTOM LINE: Air Force is flying once again. The Falcons (4-7) put a happy face on a disappointing season with a surprising victory in Albuquerque.

Oct. 1

North Carolina 31, Utah 17

Last week:

North Carolina 24, Duke 21

BOTTOM LINE: The Tar Heels improved to 5-5 with a win over their neighbors. Now they need to win at Virginia Tech in order to become bowl eligible.

Oct. 8

Colorado State 21, Utah 17

Last week:

Colorado St. 31, UNLV 27

BOTTOM LINE: The Rams (6-5) became bowl eligible despite a lackluster performance in Vegas. They'll wait and see if a postseason bid comes next.

Oct. 15

San Diego State 28, Utah 19

Last week:

San Diego St. 34, Wyoming 21

BOTTOM LINE: Too little, too late? It remains to be seen if a late run of success will save coach Tom Craft's job. The Aztecs (5-6) visit Hawaii on Dec. 3.

Oct. 22

Colorado St. 42, UNLV 32

Last week:

Colorado St. 31, UNLV 27

BOTTOM LINE: The results are in. UNLV under Mike Sanford is just as bad as it was under John Robinson. Back-to-back 2-9 campaigns hardly a jackpot.

Nov. 5

Utah 43, Wyoming 13

Last week:

San Diego St. 34, Wyoming 21

BOTTOM LINE: The Cowboys (4-7) will carry a six-game losing streak into the offseason after falling to the Aztecs. Wyoming lost its way after a promising start.

Nov. 12

New Mexico 31, Utah 27

Last week:

Air Force 42, New Mexico 24

BOTTOM LINE: The Lobos (6-5) fell to the Falcons after having to use their third-string quarterback. New Mexico's bowl picture is a bit cloudy at the moment.

Nov. 19

Utah 41, BYU 34

BOTTOM LINE: Thanks to an early win over Div. I-AA Eastern Illinois, the Cougars (6-5) remain bowl eligible despite an overtime loss to the Utes (6-5) at home.
